Some of my flowers are already starting to go to seed *sniffle sniffle*. Cosmos were the first to kick off the trend with the one up front, now the patch in the back is starting to join in, fun there was getting a jolt of how sharp those d*mn seeds are when I got four or five stuck in my thumb. So now scissors are my new best friend! *g* And the other flowers are quickly joining in, petunia, pansy (the seed heads are huge…) and some portulanca & snapdragons. Got to harvest my first four o’clock seeds this afternoon too. Wow, these seeds areRead More →

I get to go to wal-mart later, color me excited. Or kinda not, I don’t want to brave the back to school madhouse I’m sure is there right now. School up here I believe starts Monday? (heck who knows and who cares? I’m just glad I’m out of it *g*) so wally world is bound to be packed. But I need coke, a birthday card for my best friend, an anniversary card for my parents next week and some books. Because my TBR pile isn’t high enough and I don’t want more then one box of an ehq order this time around :o) In caseRead More →

Playing With Fire by Gena Showalter Earth, Wind and Fire aren’t just a band anymore…Used to be my greatest achievement was holding a job more than three days. Now suddenly I can shoot fireballs, chill your drink, or blow-dry your hair at fifty paces with a blink of my eye!It all started when this crazy scientist dropped something in my grande mocha latte. Of course I got wicked sick. Next morning I’m waking up with this total hottie bending over me. He tells me 1) his name’s Rome Masters, 2) he’s a government agent and 3) I can control the four elements with a thought.Read More →

So its heatwave time in alberta again. Pathetic hot with no breeze. Reminds me of being in Regina, so hot you can’t really breathe. Which makes total sense that today’s the day dad decides its time to clear the junk out and rents a u-haul. Since mom’s knee is buggered up right now and she can’t help, there I am sweltering, ready to pass out carrying loads of old plywood and stuff up the ramp, into the large, hot, metal truck. Oh and the ants, apparently there was an ant infestation in the wood pile…and we had no raid. Picture this, stomping on a twoRead More →

Courtesy of a tag by Nell… 1. One book that changed my life: REMEMBERANCE by Jude Deveraux. The first time I realized not everyone had stories in their head. Color me clueless :o) 2. One book I have read more than once: (other then my own, VW is currently the most read book of 05-06) uhm, SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY by Nancy Price and THE FIRM by John Grisham. I read them at least once a year. 3. One book I would want on a desert island: THE FIRM by Grisham. I love it so much J And Jackie Collins Lucky series, any one ofRead More →

On the usual web rounds today I stumbled across the info that Silhouette Bombshell is being discontinued as of January 2007. There’s different rumors out that the January books will be pubbed, and some that they aren’t, that they’re being scrapped outright with rights reverting back to the authors. Which leaves the question for me anyways, the Madonna Key miniseries was supposed to end in January 07, if the Jan books aren’t a go, then what happens to the last book that wraps up the series? This just sucks. Bombshell was the only line I bought monthly, at least 3 of the books a monthRead More →

For us unpubbed – http://www.stephaniefeagan.com/blog/?p=85#comments I’m not sure about the 4 hours a day bit, right now I’m lucky if I can write two words of dialogue with my brain being mush.Read More →

So I’m seriously thinking of buying the rwa cds. They’re on sale till tomorrow. I’ve never bought them before but I’m thinking it might be well worth the money. Anyone buy them before? Are they a good thing to have? And Monday I start my synopsis writing workshop. Should be interesting. apparently we’ll learn a bunch of tips on emphasizing different things. Sounds good to me. I’ve been writing synops the same way for the last 4 years. Might be time for a change.Read More →
